ServCollab is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the second quarterly ServCollab Research Grant of 2026. We encourage eligible scholars to submit their applications by Friday, October 2, 2026.
Made possible through the generosity of ServCollab donors, these grants seek to support and amplify innovative research that serves humanity. ServCollab Research Grants support research that aligns with ServCollab's mission, contributes to one or more of ServCollab's seven Service Research Themes, and has been invited for revision by a peer-reviewed journal.
ServCollab was founded on Transformative Service Research (TSR) and continues to advance research collaborations that relieve suffering, improve well-being, and enable well-becoming.

Quarterly Research Grants
ServCollab awards one research grant of up to USD 5,000 each calendar quarter. Each grant supports a research project that:
Seeks to serve humanity.
Aligns with ServCollab's mission.
Contributes to one or more of ServCollab's seven Service Research Themes.
Has been invited for revision by a peer-reviewed journal.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, at least one member of the research team must be a member of the ServCollab Wisdom Communities.
Membership is free and connects scholars who are interested in serving humanity through research. Community members collaborate, learn from one another, strengthen their research capabilities, and support each other's professional development. Two ServCollab Wisdom Communities have already been formed and include researchers from all over the planet: the PhD Student Community and the Early Career Community.

Application Requirements
Applications should include:
Applicant and co-authors information (names and affiliations).
Manuscript title.
Journal details (including the invitation to revise).
Research abstract (maximum 1,000 words).
Funding needs (up to USD 5,000) with a clear explanation of planned expenses.
Explanation of how the research aligns with ServCollab's mission and contributes to one or more of the ServCollab Service Research Themes.

Application Rules
Applicants may submit only one grant application per quarterly competition.
The grant will be awarded to the applicant for the submitted manuscript. The applicant will be solely responsible for administering the grant funds, submitting the required progress report, and acknowledging ServCollab's support.
Any additional research funding received for the project must be disclosed in the grant application.
The grant recipient must submit a brief progress report within six months of receiving the grant, summarizing how the funds were used and the current status of the manuscript.
Based on the progress report, ServCollab will determine how any unused grant funds should be handled.
ServCollab reserves the right not to award a grant in a given quarter if no application meets the eligibility criteria or reaches the expected standard of excellence.
Research that is awarded a ServCollab Research Grant is not eligible to apply again.
Falsification or misrepresentation of any application information will result in immediate disqualification and, if discovered after a grant has been awarded, repayment of the grant funds.
Support Available
Recipients of ServCollab Research Grants may request mentoring from ServCollab researchers throughout the funded project.
Acknowledgement Requirement
Recipients are required to acknowledge support from the ServCollab Research Grant in any published article arising from the funded research, as well as in all communications related to the research, including conference presentations, workshops, websites, newsletters, and social media.
