A Pre-Conference Workshop at the SERVSIG 2026 Conference

June 10, 2026 | University of Minho, Braga, Portugal

ServCollab will host a morning pre-conference workshop at the SERVSIG 2026 Conference titled

“Launching the ServCollab Wisdom Quest: Seeking Collaborative Wisdom to Serve Humanity”

Humanity is experiencing interconnected social, ecological, and institutional failures that call for deeper collaboration and wiser service systems. Transformative Service Research has long sought to reduce suffering and improve well-being. The ServCollab Wisdom Quest builds on this foundation by inviting service researchers to seek collaborative wisdom that transcends disciplines and cultures.

This interactive workshop will officially launch the ServCollab Wisdom Quest—a global initiative designed to co-create wiser service systems that foster empathy, dignity, sustainability, and justice.

 Workshop Objectives

  • Launch the ServCollab Wisdom Quest as a global call to co-create wiser service systems.

  • Form Wisdom Circles among participants to explore shared intentions for serving humanity through collaboration.

  • Engage participants in guided dialogue and experiential inquiry into service system failures that call for collaborative wisdom.

  • Foster new collaborations among transformative service researchers, practitioners, and community activists.

  • Generate ideas for future ServCollab Wisdom Projects that advance research, education, and social innovation.

Who Should Attend

The workshop is open to registered SERVSIG 2026 participants who are interested in:

  • Transformative Service Research

  • Serving humanity

  • Sustainability, justice, and social impact

  • Collaborative research and community-building

PhD students and early career researchers are especially encouraged to participate.

How to Participate

Participation requires registration for the workshop during the SERVSIG 2026 conference registration process.

Following registration, ServCollab will contact registered participants to gather brief information about their research interests and the service system failures they care about. This information will be used to form Wisdom Circles prior to the workshop.
